My name is Chris Rees and I am a Race Director of Triathlons. I have spent 5 years encouraging newbies into the sport of Triathlon whilst just dabbling in the sport myself.

2014 its time to up the pace and as I will be turning 30 in 2015. So in June this year I will be taking part in my first half ironman. The Cotswold 113 a well established race with 600 competitors will be my longest endurance race to date.

The distances are:

1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21km run.

I completed my first half marathon in Gosport in November pulling in a time of 2 hours 6, leaving a lot to be desired!

As a typical 28 year old I enjoy a bit of exercise, my food and the odd pint or glass of wine with the girlfriend over dinner. I drink numerous coffees at work, and because of my strange working hours I have found myself being lazy and fast food or eating out was the quick and easy option. The big scary 30 is on the horizon and as part of my 30 things to do before 30 the Ironman distance is one and finally getting a 6 pack seemed to go well together.
